DAY 1 – ITALIAN RIVIERA & THERMAL BLISS
Our journey begins at 8 AM at Milan Central Station as we head toward the Mediterranean coast. Our first stop is the iconic, pastel-colored harbor of Portofino for a morning stroll. In the afternoon, we transition from the coast to a luxurious thermal spa to unwind in healing waters. We conclude our first day in the city of flowers, Sanremo, where we’ll stay at a historic hotel near the sea.
DAY 2 – ASCENT TO THE MARITIME ALPS
We leave Sanremo early in the morning and head deep into the mountains. Today’s highlights include a scenic 3-to-5-hour hike through alpine landscapes, breathing in the crisp mountain air. Our destination is a secluded thermal residence known for its panoramic views and sulfur-rich waters. It is the perfect place to recharge amidst the peaks before we venture further into the French canyons.
DAY 3 – THE GRAND CANYON OF EUROPE
Today is dedicated to a breathtaking gorge often called the Grand Canyon of Europe. We’ll drive along dramatic serpentine roads that offer dizzying views of the turquoise river below. We will explore a narrow limestone corridor and take on several short hikes to reach the most spectacular overlooks. For a late lunch, we’ll visit a charming cliffside village, often called one of the most beautiful in France.
DAY 4 – TURQUOISE WATERS & THE MONACO BORDER
We start our morning on the water, renting pedal boats to navigate the narrow, towering walls of the canyon. After a relaxing morning and lunch in a historic gateway town, we begin our drive back toward the glittering coast. We’ll settle into a boutique hotel near the Monaco border, perfectly positioned by a stunning beach for a sunset swim in the Mediterranean.
DAY 5 – MONACO ELEGANCE & ADIEU
We begin our day with an early morning swim and a world-class breakfast in the heart of Monte Carlo. After a walk through the luxury and history of Monaco, the group splits for departure. You may choose to take a short train selfride to Nice for the airport at 1 PM, or join the drive back to Milan, where we will arrive at the central station by 6 PM.
