DAY 1 – ARRIVAL AND PREPARATION
We’ll meet at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) at 10:00 AM and head straight to Yosemite National Park. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel and focus on the technical preparation for the climb. We will conduct a comprehensive safety briefing, including instructions on how to use the climbing gear, how to tie essential knots, and a thorough equipment check. After preparing our gear and ensuring everything is ready for the ascent, we’ll settle in for an early night to rest before our pre-dawn start tomorrow.
DAY 2 – HALF DOME ASCENT (THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE)
We’ll start pre-dawn for a 15–16 hour expedition covering 33 km (20.5 miles) with a 1,600m (5,245ft) elevation gain. Our route takes us through the mist of Vernal and Nevada Falls before reaching the sub-dome. The climax of the day is the final vertical climb using the steel cables with safety harnesses. After standing on the summit of the world’s most iconic rock, we’ll make the long descent back to the valley for a well-deserved rest.
Physical Requirement: Please note that Day 2 is an extreme physical challenge. This hike requires excellent endurance, a head for heights, and proper technical gear (harnesses and high-traction boots).
DAY 3 – RETURN TO SAN FRANCISCO
After a late morning recovery, we’ll depart Yosemite and head toward the coast. After stopping for lunch, we’ll return to San Francisco International Airport around 7:00 PM. Flights can be scheduled after 9:00 PM.
