Alaska... Here brutal Northern nature coexists with centurie-old glaciers. Salmon jumps out of the waters and grizzly bears catch them with precise paw movements. You can see whales, fur seals and brisk puffins. Masterful elks roam in the forests, and lakes amaze the imagination with the transparency of water. The "Gold Rush" attracted adventurers here. Among them was John Griffith Cheney, known to us as Jack London. Here he wrote his stories about the life of people in harsh conditions of the northernmost state.
